Leak detection and energy savings – Connected refrigeration

The DNI + floating HP solution is eligible for EEC incentives

The floating HP module of the Intelligent Level Detector is eligible for EEC incentives. A cost-effective way of securing your refrigeration production while making energy savings.

What is HP Flottante?

Floating high-pressure control consists of continuously calculating the optimum condensing pressure set point as a function of the outside temperature, then regulating the condensing pressure by adjusting the cooling capacity of the condenser.

The fans run longer to condense at a lower temperature, which improves the cooling COP: less electricity consumed for an equal or even greater quantity of cooling produced.

The benefits:

  • Up to 30% energy savings*.
  • Improved lifetime of the installation
  • An eco-responsible approach

How can I simulate the amount of my EWC bonus?

– Directly from Matelex

We will be happy to help you estimate the amount of your CEE premium or provide any other information you may require. You can contact us via the website www.matelex.com or directly by telephone or email. We’ll be happy to help you prepare your EWC application.

What is an EEC premium?

Energy and fuel suppliers, known as “obligés”, are required to play an active role in making energy savings. To meet this obligation, the obligated parties can purchase CEEs or distribute money to reimburse part of your work. The financial contribution made by the obligated parties is known as an energy bonus.

Energy saving certificates are obtained in return for actions that have led to a real reduction in energy consumption. They were introduced by law no. 2005-781 of 13 July 2005 setting out energy policy guidelines, known as the POPE law.

Matelex also markets an Energy Module, which calculates the real COP of the equipment, the consumption of compressors, condenser fans and indirect circuit pumps, etc. It can be used to monitor the performance and energy drift of refrigeration systems and warns you if there is a risk of compressor failure.

Leak detection: what are your obligations?

Equipment containing fluorinated greenhouse gases in quantities greater than or equal to 500 tonnes of CO2 equivalent (i.e. 128 kg of R-404A) must be fitted with a leak detection system using indirect measurement methods to alert the operator or a company responsible for servicing the installation in the event of a leak. (French decree of 17 July 2019).
