After months of user-focused research and development, Matelex is launching the PolarBox, a connected solution for remote monitoring of refrigeration systems. The main aim of this new range of equipment is to optimise plant performance while minimising the environmental and financial impact of refrigeration production.

Matelex currently monitors more than 960 tonnes of refrigerant through its IoT solutions, representing 1,649,274 tonnes of CO2. Matelex equipment goes beyond simple monitoring; it measures, analyses and learns how refrigeration systems work. Connected to the PolarVisor web-based supervision platform, they alert users to any anomalies and provide clear indicators to simplify facility management.

The PolarBox is the new generation of equipment designed to optimise the operation of refrigeration installations. It is combined with a new monitoring platform: PolarVisor. The PolarBox and PolarVisor Duo provides remote visibility of the operation of facilities, reducing their environmental and financial impact.

Thanks to continuous monitoring, leakage rates are significantly reduced. The PolarBox provides a real-time view of the state of installations, enabling a rapid response to any anomaly, making a direct contribution to preserving the environment and controlling costs.

Multi-plant monitoring

To reduce the amount of equipment used and therefore installation time, the PolarBox can monitor up to 4 central refrigeration units in the same location. This modularity makes it easy to adapt to the specific needs of each site, offering greater flexibility.

Integrated 4G connectivity

fast, secure data transmission with multi-operator, plug-and-play 4G connectivity. The PolarBox guarantees constant communication, independent of the site network, with additional antennas ensuring optimum connectivity, even in isolated areas.

New Energy module :

The Energy module helps to reduce consumption and improve the COP (coefficient of performance) of installations, with real-time monitoring of compressors, condenser fans and pumps. The Energy Module provides precise data on the efficiency of refrigeration production and enables cycle costs (compressors) to be identified, helping to reduce energy bills and limit the risk of failure.

Wireless outdoor temperature module :

PolarBox now offers a single wireless outdoor temperature module for all control units. It provides unlimited communication and a battery life of up to 7 years. Easy to install and ready to use!

A single screen for all sites:

The arrival of multi-controller mode means a reduction in the number of screens on the site. A single screen provides access to the on-site configuration and display interface for all PolarBoxes. This feature reduces operational complexity and provides a harmonised user experience.

Simplified installation with POE power supply :

POE (Power Over Ethernet) cabling simplifies installation and improves connectivity. A single cable powers the modules while transferring data, reducing the need for cabling and making installation easier.

Ergonomic, step-by-step configuration interface:

New web interface guides the user step-by-step for optimum, simplified configuration. The interface, available on Matelex tablets or any other device, offers a fluid, simplified user experience, with a final checklist for flawless configuration.
